7th Annual Big Island AIDS Walk

April 14th, 2018

Welcome to the 7th Annual Big Island AIDS Walk! This year we dedicate our walk to our late Uncle Matthew Kamelamela. He was a strong figure for our Hawaii Island Community. Since the beginning, Uncle Matthew has always been a big part of our walk. Every year we looked forward to his presence; playing ukulele, singing and dancing hula for us. He will be greatly missed and will always be in our hearts.

The Big Island AIDS Walk is an easy 2 mile walk along the beautiful Liliuokalani Gardens in Hilo, Hawaii.

Registration to join is easy and free. Each walker who raises $20 or more will receive a commemorative event
t-shirt. Register as an individual, start a team or join an existing team. All proceeds raised will stay right here on the Big Island to help those infected or affected by HIV and AIDS.

JoYi Rhyss of Moxie Fitness will be back to do our Zumba warm-up! There will also be live entertainment by Uncle Matthew's Ohana - Ohana Mau Loa and we can't forget the keiki of Halau Na Pua O Uluhaimalama under the direction of Kumu Emery Aceret. They will be back to entertain everyone with their lovely hula. Health fair information tables will also be available.

Light refreshments will be served and an opportunity to win some raffle prizes!

So come join the movement to an end HIV & AIDS on Hawaii Island!
